Gauvain Sers

On March 19, 2027, Gauvain Sers returns to the stage at the Opéra de Limoges, practically at home. After three albums released at a brisk pace, he chose to slow down to rediscover real life—the kind of life told about in cafés, in Paris as well as in the Creuse where he grew up. This hiatus, marked by the arrival of a child, shifted his perspective and rekindled the desire to return to the roots that shaped his songwriting.

An heir to the French lyric-song tradition, spotted as an opening act for Renaud, Gauvain Sers has built his records between social chronicles and intimate confidences. On stage he unfolds these stories of people, countryside and cities, using a simple, precise language and melodies that leave room for the words. In Limoges he is found again in the balance that defines his signature: portraits of everyday life, generational doubts, small personal jolts and major social issues. Between his well-known songs and new material, a concert refocused on the essentials, close to his audience.
