Thomas Fersen returns to Paris with Comme on quitte un imperméable (Like Leaving a Raincoat), a concert-show in which he unfolds his songs like stories. A singer-songwriter first noticed with Le bal des oiseaux, he cultivates precise writing, slightly off-kilter imagery and bruised characters who come to life in a few verses. On stage, his hushed, velvety voice and seasoned phrasing establish a calm intimacy, between ballads and subtly skewed melodies.
