Info
On July 18, 2026, at the Cabaret Sauvage, Julian Marley arrives with The Uprising for a decidedly roots live show. Singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, he channels the energy between guitar, keyboards and the rhythm section with his distinctive blend: Jamaican foundations, dub pulses, nods to dancehall and soul, and lyrics steeped in Rastafarian spirituality. Here, everything hinges on groove and collective dynamics, driven by his backing band.
Born in London and raised between the British capital and Kingston, the son of Bob Marley, Julian Marley was shaped by close contact with key members of the Wailers such as Aston “Family Man” Barrett, Carlton Barrett, Earl “Wire” Lindo, Tyrone Downie and Earl “Chinna” Smith. On stage he draws from a catalogue forged since the 1990s — from Lion in the Morning and Awake to As I Am and Colors of Royal, co-produced with Antaeus. It’s a journey through the themes that have always moved him — life, faith and social questions — carried by the warmth of The Uprising and a sound crafted for the stage.
