Florent Pagny

On 19 November 2026 Florent Pagny will perform at Forest National in Forest. The singer from Chalon-sur-Saône has built, since the late 1980s, a career that moves between pop, variété and rock influences. After starting out as an actor, he made himself heard in 1990 with his debut album Merci, notable for its direct tone and daring lyrics. He then alternates his own compositions with thematic projects and reworkings: Récréation (1999) gives classics of the French chanson a different colour, Baryton (2004) approaches standards in a more lyrical setting. In the 2000s and 2010s he worked with a range of French-speaking singer-songwriters and continued to tour extensively in France and the Francophonie.

On stage, Pagny places his voice at the centre, delivering it frontally with a set that shifts between sensitive ballads, more engaged songs and reworked classics. Between Patagonia and the studio he remains committed to a repertoire that embraces the French variété tradition, making room for orchestral pop moments and small, intimate passages.
