The Boxer Rebellion

On 20 March 2026, The Boxer Rebellion return to the Metropol in Berlin. The London four-piece—Nathan Nicholson (vocals), Adam Harrison (bass), Piers Hewitt (drums) and Andrew Smith (guitar)—bring new songs from The Second I’m Asleep (released on 27 March 2026) to the stage, alongside selections from their catalogue. Characterised by Nicholson’s distinctive voice, dense guitars and precise rhythms, the band unfold live a blend of indie and alternative rock in which tension-filled buildups, melodic sensibility and atmospheric nuances go hand in hand.

The new tracks were created during an intense period with a clear focus on instinct rather than analysis. You can hear this in the direct energy and spontaneity with which the quartet addresses its themes: finding clarity in chaos, letting go of the old, and finding one’s place amid rapid change. On stage this translates into dynamic arcs and richly detailed soundscapes that feel unembellished yet retain depth.
