Info

On 24 March 2026 at La Sala Rossa, the London quintet Ulrika Spacek will present their experimental rock, where psychedelia, noise and krautrock pulses intersect. Formed in the mid-2010s around songwriter Rhys Edwards, the band has built a dense, repetitive sound: layered guitars, insistent rhythmic motifs and vocals kept back in the mix. After The Album Paranoia (2016) and Modern English Decoration (2017), largely recorded in home studios, Ulrika Spacek continued with the EP Suggestion (2018) and Compact Trauma (2023), an album of stretched structures and stark dynamic shifts, while remaining rooted in guitar-driven rock.

On stage, the band stretches forms, induces a trance and moves between abrasive textures and more misty washes, somewhere between art rock and shoegaze. The set draws on their recent releases, lets loops swell and establishes a flow that advances in fits and starts, sometimes threaded with electronic touches. Guest artists will open the evening.
