The Swedish band Solence blends metal, electronic, alternative and pop into a format designed for live performance. Markus Videsäter (vocals), David "Viking" Vikingsson (drums), David Strääf (guitar) and Johan Swärd (keyboards) form a tight-knit quartet that focuses on catchy choruses and clear dynamics. Their songs combine heavy riffs, sweeping synth layers and electronic beats without abandoning melody. With more than 200 million cumulative streams, the band established itself on streaming platforms before reaching a new milestone with its third album, hope is a cult, their first release on Hopeless Records. On stage, Solence alternates mosh sections and sung passages—direct, efficient energy for a set that doesn’t drag and goes straight to the point.
