Editors

Editors will be at La Cigale in Paris on 27 January 2027. Formed in Birmingham, the band has developed its signature sound around dark guitars, taut rhythms and increasingly prominent keyboards across their records, led by Tom Smith’s deep voice. From The Back Room to EBM, their trajectory has moved from nervy post‑punk to more pronounced electronic textures—particularly since the arrival of musician Benjamin John Power—without losing the melodic drive or the intensity that sustain their live shows.

This date is part of a tour announced for 2027 and accompanies “Call It In,” the first new single since EBM. Born from collective sessions and a summer of work in the countryside, the track explores a more intimate vein, between a need for support and the clamor of the modern world, and is accompanied by a video directed by guitarist Justin Lockey. On stage, Editors blend this new material with their longstanding DNA, carried by a now well‑honed line‑up built around Tom Smith, Russell Leetch, Ed Lay, Justin Lockey and Elliott Williams. It’s an occasion designed to revisit two decades of songs and their current electronic dimension, presented in a direct, no‑frills format.
