Lambert (solo)

Info

On 12 March 2026 at the Théâtre de l’Œuvre in Marseille, Lambert appears solo, true to his distinctive image as a German pianist wearing a horned mask inspired by Sardinian tradition. Since his beginnings on the European neoclassical scene, he has combined the framework of classical music, the instinct of jazz, and a cinema-fed melancholy. First noted for his solo albums, he later expanded his scope with a trio and film scores, without losing his clear artistic line. His playing favors melodic improvisation, an attentive listening to silence, and themes that advance without fanfare. On stage, alone at the piano, he unfolds pieces where breathing matters, where an idea settles in and then gently transforms, caught between contemplation and playfulness. Between written compositions and motifs that shift through variations, he seeks a simple, almost cinematic balance. Beneath the mask there is no pose—just a composer who lets a discreet mystery filter through and converts it into music, like a story rewritten at each appearance.
