Info
Wet Wet Wet return to Glasgow to celebrate 40 years of their debut album Popped In Souled Out, on 22 October 2027 at The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. Formed just up the road in Clydebank, the band forged a melodic blend of pop and soul that defined their first era. This anniversary show traces that origin story through the songs that introduced them: Popped In Souled Out, home to Wishing I Was Lucky, Sweet Little Mystery, Angel Eyes (Home and Away) and Temptation, will be at the heart of the set. Expect the warm harmonies, brass-tinged arrangements and slow-burn ballads that shaped their catalogue, with room for the hits that followed, from Holding Back the River to Love Is All Around.
Support comes from Johnny Hates Jazz, figureheads of sleek late-80s pop. Their set brings clean hooks and polished songwriting, revisiting Shattered Dreams, I Don’t Want to Be a Hero and Turn Back the Clock. A pairing that taps into a shared love of soulful melodies and radio-ready choruses, ideal for a night rooted in the late-80s UK pop songbook.
