Carpark North

Carpark North take the stage at TRAIN in Aarhus, Denmark on 21 November 2026. Formed in Aarhus in 1999, the trio of Lau Højen, Søren Balsner and Morten Thorhauge shaped a Danish take on electronic rock: alternative riffs wired to bright synth lines, a direct rhythm section, and English vocals that lean into doubt, faith and human relationships. Their sound keeps the clarity of a power trio while giving keyboards a central role, with guitars carrying melodies rather than sheer volume.

Live, the group moves between sharp, uptempo tracks and more reflective pieces without breaking the flow. The set draws across their catalogue, from the self-titled debut and All Things to All People to later releases like Grateful, Lost and Phoenix. Hooks come from synth motifs as much as choruses, drums stay punchy and unadorned, and each part sits cleanly in the mix. It’s a format built for contrast: dense electronic textures against open guitar lines, tension against release, always anchored by tight arrangements. Back in the city where it all started, Carpark North line up their synth-rock DNA for a show focused on songs and dynamics rather than excess.
