Gnags return to their hometown when the band performs at the Aarhus Congress Center on April 2, 2027. Since their formation in Aarhus in the mid-1960s, they have moved from beat and Anglo-American rock to a distinctly Danish expression, in which Peter A.G. Nielsen's voice and songwriting set the direction. On stage it is precisely the blend of rock, pop and reggae, sometimes with a touch of funk, that makes things swing: danceable grooves, horn sections and storytelling lyrics that can also look outward toward the times and society. Gnags' long catalogue spans from more organic, early soundscapes to periods featuring synths and later a more mature rock expression, but live it is about energy and a shared chorus, where the audience becomes part of the concert. Expect an evening that brings together threads from several decades and delivers Gnags as they perform best: in direct contact with the audience.
