Nick Mulvey

Nick Mulvey, an English musician, singer and songwriter, developed his playing between Spain, Cuba and London. A co‑founder of Portico Quartet, he established himself on the London scene before the group’s nomination for the Mercury Prize in 2008. As a solo artist he has released two albums and in turn received a Mercury Prize nomination. His music draws on a folk tradition with broad horizons: warm, wooden guitars, rhythmic motifs nourished by his travels, and an acoustic sensibility that favors space and clarity.
