Wishbone Ash

On 28 April 2026, Wishbone Ash is at the Cabaret Vauban in Brest. The British band, formed in the late 1960s, was among the first to popularise the twin‑guitar approach — harmonised lead guitars played in parallel — which later inspired groups such as Thin Lizzy, Judas Priest and Iron Maiden. Led by Andy Powell’s Flying V, the quartet has followed its own path, favouring collective interplay and a sound all of their own.

Since Argus, a multi‑platinum album, the band has never stopped writing and touring. In 2020 Coat of Arms, their 24th studio album, was released and was included in Classic Rock Magazine’s selection of the year. 2023 saw the release of Live Dates Live. In 2024, a fan poll determined the setlist for the Wishlist Tour 2024/2025, ahead of a 12‑CD box set at the end of 2025 devoted to the band’s appearances on the BBC. In 2026 the Time Was Tour continues the story, at a pace of more than 120 concerts a year. On stage, Wishbone Ash remains true to its DNA: two guitars answering one another, clear melodic lines and a solid rhythm section, for straightforward rock.
