Info
On 11 October 2027, Belinda Carlisle brings “It’s Been Heavenly” to SEC Armadillo in Glasgow for a set that threads together the different lives of her voice. From her early days cutting through the late-’70s LA punk scene to fronting The Go-Go’s and helping shape American new wave, she’s always had a knack for punchy melodies and choruses that land fast. Expect that edge to meet the sleek, radio-built pop rock of her solo era, the period that runs from Belinda and Heaven on Earth through Runaway Horses and beyond, with the kind of direct songwriting that made her a fixture of the late ’80s and early ’90s.
Go West opens the night with their London-bred mix of melodic pop rock and blue-eyed soul, built on bright guitars, clean hooks, and those unmistakable ’80s synth textures. Led by Peter Cox and Richard Drummie, their set is likely to touch on the run of songs that put them on the map, from “We Close Our Eyes” and “Call Me” to “King of Wishful Thinking,” balancing big choruses with a tighter, stage-ready groove.
