Info
On May 31, 2027, Chris de Burgh brings his songwriter’s storytelling back to Dublin, taking the stage at Bord Gáis with the kind of set built around melody, voice, and narrative punch. Over the decades, he’s shaped a soft rock and pop rock universe where romantic ballads sit next to story-songs with folk touches, a thread he’s carried since the mid-1970s. Expect a show that moves through key chapters of his catalogue, from the early, tale-driven spirit of Spanish Train and Other Stories to the more polished 1980s era that put him in a wider spotlight, including tracks tied to albums like The Getaway and Into the Light. Longtime listeners know that “The Lady in Red” is never far away, but the live format also leaves room for deeper cuts and later material, proof of a career that keeps circling back to the same core: clear hooks, direct emotion, and songs that unfold like short films.
