Foreigner comes to Dublin for an “Unplugged” night at the 3Olympia Theatre on April 12, 2027, stripping things back to the bones of songs that helped define late-70s and 80s radio rock. Formed in New York in 1976 around British guitarist Mick Jones and American singer Lou Gramm, the band built its identity on big, hook-heavy writing: chunky guitars, melodic keys, and choruses made to be sung by a room full of people. In this unplugged format, expect those familiar melodies to come forward in a different light, with more space for the songwriting and the vocal lines.
From the early rush of “Feels Like the First Time,” “Cold as Ice,” and “Hot Blooded,” to the slicker, more ballad-leaning era of 4 and Agent Provocateur, Foreigner’s catalogue moves between tight hard rock and arena-sized emotion. With Mick Jones still steering the ship, this show is a chance to hear those classics reframed, closer, warmer, and focused on the parts that stuck with you in the first place.
