Info
On April 2, 2027, at Union Chapel in London, Spiritualized bring back Acoustic Mainlines, a rare format built for people who know how deep Jason Pierce’s songs can cut when you strip the volume away. First imagined around the time of Songs in A&E, after Pierce had been through serious illness, these acoustic shows started almost by accident: a guest appearance at a Daniel Johnston night, with Pierce and guitarist Tony Foster playing Johnston covers before the idea grew into something bigger.
This anniversary run reconnects with that spirit: intimate but not minimal, with Pierce’s voice and songwriting in the foreground, then widened by a string quartet, gospel singers, and Foster at his side. Expect a set that moves freely through the Spacemen 3 and Spiritualized catalogues, with a few carefully chosen covers in the mix, all re-shaped for an acoustic setting that leans into drones, hymnal harmonies, and slow-burning melodies.
