DMA’s return in an acoustic format for an in-store session at Rough Trade Bristol on 31 August 2026, to celebrate the release of their self-titled new album. Born in Sydney, the trio led by Tommy O’Dell (vocals) with Matt Mason and Johnny Took on guitars has made a name for itself with catchy tracks where indie rock meets an unabashed Britpop heritage: direct melodies, clear guitars, and a pop energy that sticks in the mind.
On stage, DMA’s also know how to broaden the frame, as heard across their albums—from Hills End to How Many Dreams?. Here, the set is performed without artifice: songs focused on writing, harmonies, and the grain of the voices, in a spirit close to a bare, live performance. A good way to rediscover their songs in a different light, and to dive into the new material as it arrives.
