If there is one figure who changed the way songs were written in the twentieth century, it is Bob Dylan. Born Robert Allen Zimmerman, the American songwriter first cut his teeth in Greenwich Village's clubs before becoming, almost despite himself, a central voice of folk. Very quickly, his lyrics began to anchor themselves in reality, to tell the era without a manual, with that unique knack for fitting an entire story into three chords. On stage, Dylan isn't reviving a museum piece: he reshapes his songs, twisting them, speeding them up, darkening them. From The Times They Are A-Changin’ to Blonde on Blonde, his repertoire spans decades while remaining alive, evolving, sometimes bewildering, always anchored by that rare sense of phrasing and rhythm. On December 3, 2026, he will perform at the Royal Festival Hall in London for a concert where the essential lies in the voice, the words, and the silences.
