Bleech 9:3 play The Academy, Dublin, on 16 December 2026. Formed between Dublin and Brixton, the Irish alt-rock four-piece centers on songwriters Barry Quinlan and Sam Duffy, joined by James Quinlan on bass and Luke O’Neill on drums. Their writing sets crisp melodies against saturated guitars, building a taut back-and-forth between quiet restraint and sudden release. That tension shapes their stage presence too, with a visual, introspective streak running through the show.

Early tracks like Ceiling and Jacky marked the band’s path: direct, tense and melodic, with abrasion never far below the surface. Active on the London circuit, they’ve supported Shame and Keo and held a three-night residency at the Blue Basement, experiences that have tightened their interplay and trimmed the arrangements to the essentials. At The Academy, they bring that approach onto home ground, a close-knit quartet leaning on contrast and dynamics to let the songs rise, break, and pull back again.
