Info
Marillion play Bristol Beacon, Bristol, on 18 September 2026. Formed in late-70s Aylesbury, the band first broke through in the early 80s with singer Fish and albums like Script for a Jester’s Tear, Fugazi and Misplaced Childhood. Since 1989, with Steve Hogarth on vocals, they have steered their sound toward something more introspective and atmospheric, from Seasons End and Brave to Marbles, F E A R and An Hour Before It’s Dark. The long-standing lineup of Steve Rothery, Mark Kelly, Pete Trewavas, Ian Mosley and Hogarth anchors a writing style that favors long-form narratives, weaving progressive rock with pop sensibility and ambient textures. Pioneering fan-funded releases at the turn of the 2000s, Marillion have kept a steady studio-to-stage cycle where extended pieces, thematic suites and evolving dynamics take the lead. Haunt the Woods join as special guests to open the night.
