Info
On 17 October 2027 at The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, Wet Wet Wet celebrate 40 years of Popped In Souled Out. From their Clydebank roots in the early 80s to a catalogue steeped in soul-pop and tender ballads, the band revisits the 1987 debut that set their course. Founders Tommy Cunningham, Graeme Clark and Neil Mitchell are joined on stage by long-time guitarist Graeme Duffin, with vocals led by Kevin Simm since 2018. The show centres on the album’s blend of soulful textures, melodic pop and orchestral-tinged arrangements, retraçant un son qui a ancré le groupe dans la pop britannique tout en restant ouvert à de nouvelles phases de création.
Support comes from Rebecca Ferguson. The Liverpool singer brings a deep, supple voice shaped by soul, R&B, blues and gospel, and a writing style that favours clear melodies over flashy production. From her breakthrough with The X Factor to albums like Heaven and the recent Heaven Part II, she has traced a steady path as a songwriter and performer, delivering intimate, contemporary soul that sets the tone for the night.
