Molotov: 30th ANNIVERSARY TXXXR

Molotov marks its TXXXR 30th anniversary with a stop in Toronto on February 28, 2026 at Danforth Music Hall. Formed in Mexico City in the mid-90s, the quartet — Tito Fuentes, Miky Huidobro, Paco Ayala and Randy Ebright — built a sound at the crossroads of rap, alternative rock, funk and metal. Thick basslines, saturated guitars and bilingual call-and-response keep their tracks direct and hard-hitting, while lyrics switch between Spanish and English with a sharp, street-level edge.

From the breakout of ¿Dónde jugarán las niñas? in 1997 to Apocalypshit in 1999 and Dance and Dense Denso in 2003, the band shaped a blueprint where rhythm and riffs carry social bite. Con todo respeto in 2004 reworked rock and Latin standards through their lens; Eternamiente in 2007 collected ventures from each member into one hybrid; a global circuit of stages followed, captured on Desde Rusia con amor in 2012, before the studio return Agua maldita in 2014. Themes of corruption, border identities and power games have trailed them — sometimes up to censorship — and fueled a catalogue that travels easily across continents. This anniversary date brings that trajectory together live at Danforth Music Hall in Toronto.
