Dog Days, those days when everything is supposed to slow down. For Rikas, it’s the opposite: a name borrowed from one member’s dog, a European tour and a desire to play again up close. Four friends from Stuttgart, ten years on the road and the same collective reflex.

The band first made a name for themselves in 2018 with the EP Swabian Samba. Their trademark: light harmonies, memorable choruses, and a simple method in which everyone writes, sings and takes the lead depending on the song. On stage as in the studio, roles rotate while the balance endures.

After Showtime in 2019 and the EPs Short Stories (2021) and Goodbye Sunshine (2022), Rikas multiplied live dates and crossed borders. In 2025 they released Soundtrack For A Movie That Has Not Been Written Yet, which put them on headline bills in London, Amsterdam and Paris.

With the Dog Days tour they’re returning to familiar, intimate venues for a set refocused on the essentials: forgotten demos, unreleased material, key songs, and that exchange of voices that defines their dynamic. Rikas will play La Boule Noire in Paris on 24 April 2026.
