Info
Alceu Valença is touring Europe with 80 Sunflowers, a tour that marks his 80th year. On 8 November 2026 he will stop at the Salle Pleyel in Paris. A singer-songwriter from Pernambuco, he traces a path where forró, frevo, maracatu and urban songs intersect, weaving a constant link between his northeastern roots and his curiosity for other horizons. On stage he revisits his classics Anunciação, Belle de Jour, Tropicana, Como Dois Animais and Táxi Lunar, and pays tribute to Luiz Gonzaga’s legacy with songs like Pagode Russo and Sabiá, rearranged in his own way.
Since the 1970s, from Papagaio do Futuro to Espelho Cristalino, his journey has passed through the festas of São Bento do Una, the markets and the carnivals of Recife and Olinda. This living material feeds a concert that travels through his soundscapes, between rhythmic trance and hummable melodies. Carried by a close-knit band and by projections that extend his imagination, Alceu offers an overview of his work, from his beginnings to songs that now travel far beyond Brazil. A rare opportunity to experience his repertoire live, from Recife to Paris.
