Noëlle Perna slips back into Mado la Niçoise and opens a new chapter with Mado Does Her Cabaret. True to her forthright manner and her sharp accent, Mado invites other performers to step into her playground. She leads the troupe with her quick wit, strings together sketches and gently upends cabaret habits in favor of a more collective format, in her own image. You’ll find the same mix of curiosity, gift of the gab and everyday observation that marks the character, with that Niçois inflection that belongs to her alone. Between confidences, on-the-spot portrait vignettes and unexpected detours, Mado orchestrates the evening and sets the tone, while leaving room for her guests.
