On 27 November 2026, Desire teams up with Johnny Jewel at The White Hotel in Salford for a night built on slow-burn synth-pop, italo disco and nocturnal new wave moods. Fronted by Megan Louise, Desire has always played with that bittersweet balance: dreamy toplines, clean electronic hooks, and a cool romantic tension that never overstates itself. From the early impact of II and the long shadow of “Under Your Spell” to later albums like Escape and Games People Play, the project keeps its sound lean and cinematic, made for dark rooms and late drives.
Johnny Jewel sits at the center of that universe. Musician, producer, label co-founder, and film-score composer, he’s spent decades shaping a signature palette of repetitive basslines, hazy synth textures and mid-tempo pulse, whether through Glass Candy, Chromatics, Symmetry, or his solo instrumental work. Expect the live set to move between pop songwriting and soundtrack atmosphere, with the same attention to mood that runs through his work for cinema.
