Jeris Johnson
Born in Eugene, Oregon, Jeris Johnson first develops a close bond with metal through the drums before evolving his project into a writing that blends alternative rock, nu metal, pop and digital production. He begins releasing music in the mid-2010s under the name Jeris, then restarts his journey in 2020 under his full name, with a more frontal approach where heavy riffs, melodic choruses and electronic textures coexist in a format designed for contemporary rock usage. Jeris Johnson begins to stand out online with tracks like damn!, and later through reworks and collaborations that circulate widely, notably Last Resort (Reloaded) with Papa Roach in 2021 and Can You Feel My Heart (Remix) with Bring Me the Horizon the same year. His first EP, my sword, released in 2021, followed by the album I Want Blood / I Want Love in 2022, and Dragonborn in 2024. Through these releases, Jeris Johnson emphasizes a hybrid aesthetic where the energy of modern metal meets codes drawn from hip-hop and pop rock. He has also shared the bill on tours with Korn, Evanescence, Kim Dracula and Falling in Reverse, and collaborated with artists like ZillaKami or Yonaka, while participating in the writing of All My Life by Falling in Reverse in 2024.
