MGNA Crrrta

Based between New York and an international club scene, MGNA Crrrta brings together Farheen Khan and Ginger Scott in an electronic duo that emerged in the early 2020s. Their universe sits within experimental pop nourished by synth-pop, hyperpop, electro and club music, with tracks that are short, tense or more vaporous, where filtered voices, childlike melodies, abrasive digital textures and choruses on the edge of saturation intersect. MGNA Crrrta develops a deliberately futuristic and offbeat aesthetic, visible as much in the project’s image as in writing that blends irony, upfront energy, and a taste for contrasts between softness and chaos. The duo released its first tracks online before circulating its music on streaming platforms and within networks connected to alternative scenes, between niche pop, fashion, internet culture and club music. Among verifiable releases, MGNA Crrrta published the album New Lords in 2022, which lays the foundations of its sonic language: dense productions, jagged rhythms, heavily processed vocal lines and an instinctive approach to electronic song.
