Dea Matrona

Dea Matrona is a trio formed in Belfast in 2018 around two founders, Orlaith Forsythe and Mollie McGinn, later joined by Mamie McGinn, and has steadily established itself within the new generation of rock thanks to a completely independent path. First revealed by videos recorded in the streets of their city, they built their audience song by song before releasing For Your Sins in 2024, a debut full-length that marks an important milestone and brings together their previous work. True to an identity shaped on the road, they went on to tour extensively across the UK, Ireland and Europe while developing a direct relationship with their audience through regular releases and live sessions that enhanced their visibility. Without trying to fit into a specific label, Dea Matrona moves forward with an artistic line focused on songwriting, the trio's cohesion and the continuity between studio and stage, thereby consolidating a lasting presence in the current British rock landscape.
