BANDi!

BANDi!, also active under the alias Bandikoot in Dub, is part of the francophone electronic dub scene. The project focuses on deep bass, stepper rhythms and a highly spatial use of effects. Its productions move between digital dub, roots influences and borrowings from contemporary bass music, favouring instrumental arrangements tailored for sound systems. Present on streaming platforms and Bandcamp, the project mainly self-releases its tracks, often grouped into EPs or series of pieces conceived for live performance. Activity alternates between studio sessions, DJ sets and dub live shows, in contexts ranging from specialised club nights to electronic-music events. Occasional collaborations with other producers, singers and musicians from the dub sphere broaden the sonic palette — from spare melodic lines and processed vocals to denser synthetic textures — while maintaining a clear grounding in the sound-system aesthetic.
