Ugly Kid Joe lands at Stereolux in Nantes on February 2, 2027 for a rock night that leans into contrasts: tight riffs, front-and-center energy, and a knack for memorable choruses, with their distinctive blend of hard rock, heavy metal, alternative metal, and touches of funk.
Formed in California in the late 1980s around vocalist Whitfield Crane and guitarist Klaus Eichstadt, the band first rose to fame in the early 1990s with the EP 'As Ugly as They Wanna Be', before broadening its playground with America's Least Wanted. The follow-up comprises Menace to Sobriety and Motel California, years of touring, followed by a hiatus before reforming in 2010.
Since then, Ugly Kid Joe has hit the road and resumed writing, with Stairway to Hell, Uglier Than They Used ta Be, and Rad Wings of Destiny, while maintaining their penchant for titles that go straight to the point, mixing biting humor with rock efficiency.
