Info
On June 11, 2027, Mike + The Mechanics land at The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester with the Back on Track Tour, putting the spotlight back on a band built for big, melodic choruses and tight songwriting. Created in 1985 by Mike Rutherford during a Genesis break, the project has always lived somewhere between pop-rock, soft rock and a bit of soul, the kind of sound that hits right when the vocals take over and the hooks don’t let go.
The set is expected to draw a clear line through the band’s different eras: the late-80s and 90s run that made them a staple of British pop-rock, then the post-2010 reboot with a refreshed lineup and the same polished, band-first approach. Live, it’s about momentum and craft more than flash, with room for those songs that became fixtures like Silent Running, All I Need Is a Miracle, and The Living Years, alongside later material that keeps the catalogue moving forward.
