Interpol heads to The Bowl at Sobeys Stadium in Toronto on Friday, October 2, 2026. Formed in New York by Paul Banks, Daniel Kessler and Sam Fogarino, the band shaped a distinctive post-punk revival sound built on baritone vocals, interlocking guitars and a tight rhythmic frame. Their catalogue spans Turn On the Bright Lights and Antics through Our Love to Admire, El Pintor and The Other Side of Make-Believe, a trajectory that moves from icy tension to more expansive textures without losing precision. On stage, that language translates into propulsive patterns, melodic lines in stark relief and a mood that balances restraint and intensity.
Special guests DIIV open the night. Launched in Brooklyn by Zachary Cole Smith, the group blends indie rock with dream pop and shoegaze contours: layered guitars, misty melodies, a pulse that stays taut even when the songs drift. From Oshin and Is the Is Are to Deceiver and 2024’s Frog in Boiling Water, DIIV has shifted toward a denser, rougher grain while keeping the airy shimmer of their early tracks. An encounter between two generations of New York sound, set outdoors at Sobeys Stadium.
