Info
On 29 January 2027, Happy Mondays return to Paris to take over the Cabaret Sauvage. Formed in Salford in 1980, Shaun Ryder’s band helped shape the Madchester sound by blending post‑punk, indie guitars, funk grooves, house pulses and psychedelic touches. Spotted by Tony Wilson and signed to Factory Records, they released the EP Forty Five, then Squirrel and G‑Man (1987) produced by John Cale and Bummed (1988), before the more club‑oriented era of Pills ’n’ Thrills and Bellyaches (1990) with Rowetta. After tours and several reunions, Happy Mondays continue the journey with Mikey Shine on bass since 2022, following the death of Paul Ryder, and Firouzeh Berry on backing vocals since 2025. On stage, their mix of danceable rock and rave DNA remains at the heart of the set, driven by Ryder’s verve and Bez’s presence.
Support act: Trampolene. Born in Swansea around singer‑poet Jack Jones, the Welsh trio moves between nervy indie rock, spoken word and more stripped‑back songs. Having spent time in London and honed their craft on tours with The Libertines and Liam Gallagher, the band released their debut album Swansea to Hornsey in 2017 and have since delivered tracks where the group’s energy meets direct, upfront songwriting.
