Info
On April 1, 2027, Blue Öyster Cult lands at London’s Royal Albert Hall with that instantly recognizable mix of hard rock drive, psychedelic haze, and early heavy-metal edge. Built around Eric Bloom’s vocals and Donald “Buck Dharma” Roeser’s melodic, riff-heavy guitar work, the band has always paired tight musicianship with lyrics that lean into sci-fi and esoteric imagery. Expect a set that can jump from dense, darker grooves to more direct, hook-led rock, reflecting a catalogue that runs from the early run of Blue Öyster Cult, Tyranny and Mutation and Secret Treaties to later chapters like Fire of Unknown Origin and The Symbol Remains.
Also on the bill: Magnum, the Birmingham melodic rock mainstay formed in the early 70s around songwriter-guitarist Tony Clarkin and singer Bob Catley. Their sound blends chiming guitars, big keyboards and narrative songwriting, shaped across records like Chase the Dragon and On a Storyteller’s Night, then refined through the more produced late-80s era. After Clarkin’s death in 2024, the band continues live around Catley, bringing that AOR-meets-arena-rock sweep to the Royal Albert Hall on April 1, 2027.
