Info
On Wednesday, 7 April 2027, The Wombats land at the Gashouder in Amsterdam with their 'Twenty Years Of A Guide To Love, Loss & Desperation' tour. The Liverpool trio, comprising Matthew 'Murph' Murphy, Tord Øverland Knudsen and Dan Haggis, celebrate the anniversary of their debut that propelled them to prominence in 2007: short, nervy indie-rock songs with sharp observations, melodic hooks, and that distinctive mix of guitar energy and danceable drive. During this evening they perform the album in full in the first set, from start to finish. Thereafter the tempo quickens with crowd favourites from the rest of their career, from later records and the more synthy forays to the tracks that continue to stick with you live.
Support comes from The Snuts: a Scottish quartet delivering alternative rock with tight guitars, choruses that linger, and a stage energy that sits somewhere between indie and pop rock. Expect a set that hits the room straight away and nicely complements the nervous energy and momentum of The Wombats.
