On June 4, 2027, Anouk will perform at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam with the Metropole Orchestra: a meeting of raw guitar pop and full orchestral power. Since her breakthrough with 'Nobody's Wife', Anouk has built a repertoire that effortlessly shifts between rock, melodic pop, and ballads, with that distinctive voice that can also handle soul and R&B. In this setting, songs from her various phases gain extra breath: sharp where it needs to be, vulnerable where it may be.
The Metropole Orchestra, founded in 1945 and for decades at home in jazz, orchestral pop and crossover, is not a classical string section in the background but a full-size band. With a rhythm section that can groove like a big band and arrangements that leave room for detail, the orchestra elevates Anouk's songs to a cinematic, dynamic live sound in which it can sound grand without becoming bloated.
