Info
Wasia Project play O2 Academy Bristol on 10 November 2026. Built around siblings Olivia Hardy (vocals, guitar) and William Gao (piano, vocals), the duo shape a chamber-pop sound where indie pop, light jazz touches and discreet electronics meet their classical background. They introduced themselves with the single Why Don’t U Love Me in 2019, then outlined their direction on the 2022 EP How Can I Pretend?. In 2023 came Petals on the Moon, My Lover Is Sleeping and Remember When, while Ur So Pretty featured on the second season of Heartstopper. Their second EP, Isotope (2024), extends this palette with piano-led melodies, close harmonies and brass accents.
On stage, Wasia Project perform as an expanded band with drums, bass and horns, giving their studio textures a live presence that leans into subtle grooves and airy jazz shades. The set moves between alternative pop and gentle swing, anchored by Gao’s nimble keys and Hardy’s clear, unforced voice, and draws across their releases to date. A focused show from a duo whose writing favours intimacy, melody and detail.
