On March 8, 2027, Medium Build lands at Thekla for a show built around Nicholas Carpenter’s sharp, story-first songwriting. Born out of a move to Anchorage after growing up in Georgia and studying in Nashville, the project has always sat at the crossroads of indie rock, folk, and a hint of country, with melodies that lean pop without losing the grit. Expect a set that pulls from key releases like Falling Apart, Softboy and Roughboy, and Wild, then zooms into the more recent chapters: the 2023 EP Health and the 2024 album Country, where his writing gets even more direct and lived-in. Known for sharing stages with artists like Briston Maroney, Lewis Capaldi, FINNEAS, and Tyler Childers, Medium Build brings that road-tested energy to Bristol, with room for quieter moments and sing-along hooks in the same breath.
