Ben Watt and Tracey Thorn return to MOTH Club on 14 September 2026, continuing their long-running residency. Best known together as Everything But The Girl, they appear in a part-acoustic, part-electronic duo, joined by Rex Horan on double bass and Family Stereo’s Blake Watt on guitar and vocals. The setup keeps things close to the song, drawing on four decades of material from their work as a duo and as solo artists.
Their catalogue moves from early folk- and jazz-tinged pop to the electronic turn of the 90s and their 2023 album Fuse. In this format, guitars, double bass, soft beats and minimal electronics carry the melodies while the voices trade leads and harmonies. Thorn’s low register and direct writing meet Watt’s guitar lines and subtle textures, reframing familiar tracks and opening space for lesser-heard cuts.
