The Hoosiers: Signing

Info

The Hoosiers bring their Acoustic Record Store Tour to Rough Trade Bristol on 18 May 2026, with a live in-store set followed by a signing. Led by Irwin Sparkes and Alan Sharland, the band broke through in the mid-2000s with a pop-rock blend that threads indie pop, piano-led hooks and straight-ahead choruses. Their debut, The Trick to Life, set the tone, followed by The Illusion of Safety (reissued as Bumpy Ride), then a more independent run with The News from Nowhere and The Secret Service that kept the project moving while the line-up shifted toward the core duo.

They’ve kept that melodic drive alive into recent years with Confidence in 2023, and now return with Compassion, released via Crab Race. This Bristol date celebrates the new record in an intimate, acoustic format: expect fresh cuts from Compassion reworked for the room, alongside stripped-back takes on earlier favourites that spotlight the songwriting at the heart of The Hoosiers. A signing session follows the performance, a chance to meet the band and get your records inked right after the set at Rough Trade Bristol.
