Del Amitri bring Past to Present to Cambridge on 20 November 2026 at Cambridge Corn Exchange. Formed in Glasgow in 1980 around singer-bassist and songwriter Justin Currie with guitarist Iain Harvie, the band has carved a Scottish strain of guitar pop where jangle, alt-rock edges and folk inflections meet. Through Waking Hours and Change Everything, then Twisted and Some Other Sucker’s Parade, they’ve honed clear guitars, direct melodies and lyrics with a dry, reflective twist.

The set looks across four decades, pulling from early favourites through later chapters. Nothing Ever Happens, Kiss This Thing Goodbye, Always the Last to Know and Roll to Me stand alongside deeper cuts, tracing how the band shifted from bright, chiming pop to a leaner, slightly darker groove without losing their knack for tunes that linger. After a long pause, Del Amitri returned to the road, then to the studio with Fatal Mistakes in 2021, confirming a line-up anchored by Currie and Harvie. In Cambridge, they retrace that journey with songs that carry bite, melody and a gently melancholic pulse.
