Del Amitri play O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London on 14 November 2026. Formed in Glasgow in 1980 around singer-bassist and songwriter Justin Currie, the band found its balance between pop-rock edge and folk-tinged jangle, with Iain Harvie’s guitars and Andy Alston’s keyboards giving their songs a clean, melodic frame. Across Waking Hours (1989) and Change Everything (1992) through Twisted (1995) and Some Other Sucker’s Parade (1997), they shaped concise hooks and lyrics with a dry, often melancholic tilt. Tracks like Nothing Ever Happens, Kiss This Thing Goodbye, Always the Last to Know and Roll to Me carried them from UK airwaves to North American stages. After a step back following Can You Do Me Good? (2002), they regrouped in the 2010s and returned to the studio for Fatal Mistakes in 2021. On stage, Del Amitri favor craft over flash: chiming guitars, steady grooves, words that land.
