Wet Wet Wet celebrate 40 years of their debut album Popped In Souled Out with a special show at The Glasshouse - International Centre for Music in Gateshead on 24 October 2027. Formed in Clydebank in the 80s, the band carved out a melodic pop sound steeped in soul, ballads and rich arrangements. For this anniversary date, they revisit the spirit of that first record and trace what came next, linking sharp pop hooks with slower, more R&B-leaning moments and songs from later releases. The set looks back to where it all started and connects it to the present, carried by vocal melodies up front, keys and bass lines that groove, and a rhythm section built for live dynamics.
Support: Johnny Hates Jazz. The British outfit open the night with their signature synth-pop, setting the tone before Wet Wet Wet take the stage.
