Holy Fuck

Holy Fuck play The White Hotel, Salford, on 22 September 2026. The Toronto outfit founded by Brian Borcherdt and Graham Walsh works at the junction of indie rock and experimental electronics, built live and by hand. On stage, bass and drums drive the pulse while synths, drum machines and hacked gear are tweaked in real time, with no preprogrammed backing. Their sound sits between kraut momentum, noise-flecked distortion and techno-leaning grooves, using repetition, slow-build tension and controlled improvisation.

Across a catalogue that runs from the raw, loop-based Holy Fuck (2005) and LP (2007) to Latin (2010), then the more rhythm-forward Congrats (2016) and Deleter (2020), the band has folded voices and splintered pop motifs into its grainy circuitry without dropping the immediacy of a live unit. Active in North America and Europe and involved in production within the Canadian indie scene, Holy Fuck treats the stage as an engine room where patterns mutate, textures thicken and melodies cut through before dissolving back into the groove.
