On May 28, 2027, Co-op Live in Manchester hosts Tame Impala for the “Deadbeat EU/UK Tour 2027”, a night built for wide-angle psychedelia and tight, song-first writing. Led by Kevin Parker alongside Dom Simper and Jay Watson, the Australian project has always balanced hazy textures with pop structure, the kind of set that can drift into hypnotic grooves and snap back into clean hooks without losing the thread. Expect a live show that leans into the band’s 2010s arc, from the sun-baked swirl of Innerspeaker to the sharper, more driving pulse of Lonerism, with that signature mix of fuzz, melody and studio-crafted detail translated into something more physical on stage.
Also on the bill, Wet Leg bring their Isle of Wight indie bite to Manchester. Built around Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers, the duo’s songs hit fast: direct guitars, clipped melodies, and vocals that sit between spoken and sung with a dry, detached edge. Their breakout run from “Chaise Longue” onward made their brand of post-punk-tinged pop feel immediate and slightly sideways, and live they stretch it with an expanded lineup while keeping the duo’s energy at the centre.
