On 28 August 2026 at Colchester Upper Castle Park in Colchester, JLS bring their pop and R&B blend back to the stage. Formed in London by Oritsé Williams with Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes and JB Gill, the quartet built its name on tight harmonies, direct hooks and a production that shifts from sleek urban pop to dance‑pop. From their 2008 run on The X Factor to studio albums JLS (2009), Outta This World (2010), Jukebox (2011), Evolution (2012) and 2.0 (2021), the group has kept the four‑voice interplay at the centre while updating the sound. Reunited since 2020, their set balances early staples with newer tracks.
Gabrielle joins with a songwriting voice rooted in British pop‑soul and a smooth delivery that moves between R&B and melodic pop. After breaking through with Dreams in 1993, she followed with Find Your Way and the self‑titled Gabrielle, then turned to a more expansive pop‑soul on Rise and the Bridget Jones’s Diary hit Out of Reach. Later records Under My Skin, Do It Again and A Place in Your Heart extend that clear line: soulful ballads, unfussy rhythms and a melodic sense made for open air.
