The Proclaimers bring their tight harmonies and plain-spoken songwriting to Caird Hall in Dundee on December 12, 2026. Twin brothers Craig and Charlie Reid formed the band in 1983, starting as an acoustic duo before moving between stripped-back sets and full-band arrangements. Their sound blends folk rock, roots and pop with a pulse picked up from punk, carried by two voices that move in lockstep and a distinctly Scottish delivery. On stage, they weave personal stories with social observations and political notes, drawing from early favorites like Letter from America, I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) and Sunshine on Leith, alongside later chapters such as Angry Cyclist and Dentures Out. The set balances singalong refrains and quieter moments, keeping the focus on clear melodies, close-knit harmonies and lyrics that cut straight to the point.
